The 62nd New Zealand Entomological Society Conference
“If it weren’t for your gumboots where would weta be?”
Tēnā koe. You are warmly invited to attend the 62nd annual conference of the New Zealand Entomological Society to be held on the Turitea Campus of Massey University, Palmerston North. The theme “If it weren’t for your gumboots where would weta be?” is inspired by local Manawatu boy John Clarke and a recent increase in weta research, but speakers on all topics are of course welcome!
When: The conference will run from Wednesday 3rd April 2013 until the afternoon of Friday 5th April.
Where: All talks and the poster session (with wine and cheese) will be held on Turitea Campus of Massey University, Palmerston North. The annual dinner will be held in town. Turitea Campus is within reasonable walking distance to accommodation and the town centre. Because the University halls are all occupied during April accommodation will need to be off campus using local businesses.
Conference fees: $420
Organising committee: Mary Morgan-Richards, Steve Trewick, Masha Minor & Ian Henderson (all of Massey University).
